Lenormand Tree Meaning and Interpretations

5. Tree

Keywords: health, genetics, strength, stability, sturdiness, nature, oxygen, origin, family, ancestry, roots, trees, woods.

General Tree Meaning

Tree is the first of several tricky cards which can take on a couple of very different meanings. Tree can symbolizes either health or family; matters which can be interpreted similarly or wildly different depending on context.

Typically, The Tree will represent health. When this card appears, your seeker will be (or should be!) interested in the state of their health or someone else’s. The card isn't positive or negative in the sense that it can represent health deteriorating or improve depending on how it appears.

The other primary interpretation for Tree is family. In a way, the card symbolizes not just immediate family but also ancestry, your seeker’s roots, and culture. Again, meaning is dependent on context.

For literal meanings, Tree will be actual trees and forests especially if there are other 'nature' or woodland cards around (e.g. Fox). Symbolically, however, the Lenormand Tree’s meaning speaks of sturdiness, stability and other characteristics associated with Trees.

Specific Tree Meanings

Love Meaning: Because of its associations with sturdiness, in general, Tree is a good omen in love readings. Sometimes what is combined with Tree will speak of your seeker’s partner’s health.

Career Meaning: The Tree will represent how Health and Family impact the seeker’s work (or the other way around).

Business Meaning: In a business reading, The Tree symbolizes the stability of your seeker’s company.

Positive: In a positive reading, Tree means your seeker will experience good health and strong family ties.

Negative: For negative readings, Tree represents bad health or a relationship with family which is not in good standing.
