The 10 of Pentacles is the card of abundance. With this card you will have access to wealth in the future. The good things in life are on the horizon.
There is no getting around the fact that the 10 of Pentacles is a ‘money’ card. An increase in financial status is usually always the interpretation for the 10 of Pentacles. Unlike other cards, this one is not the type to represent small dribbles of money but actually predicts large sums of it.
The 10 of Pentacles is also a card of family and tradition. The 10 represents ‘keeping it in the family’ with perhaps a family trade or business being carried from one generation to the next. If the card speaks of financial wealth it is something the entire family can benefit from not just the lucky few.
Because of its associations with families, there is the possibility are that the 10 of Pentacles predicts you will sets up business with family members. Alternatively, it can mean that you will continue a trade which is traditional in your family.
Inheritances are possible with the 10 of Pentacles; this is a more sinister face of the 10. If you feel like this is the case, look for indications of death proceeding this card.
If the 10 of Pentacles appears as a problem or an issue it can mean that multiple generations of your family like to give their opinion where it is not needed. You may be too easily influenced by your family and cultural ideals – this is creating a mental block which you must push past if you want to be successful.
The Ten of Pentacles’ Historical Meaning
The historical meaning of the 10 of Pentacles is pretty much the same as above; it is a card financial security which benefits a family. Mathers (1888) gives the interpretation of the 10 of Pentacles as also representing the house or home.
In general, I have found that the 10 of Pentacles is a rather positive card if you’re looking to purchase a house. I differentiate it from renting a house, because a home which is bought is a house which your family can potentially inherit in the future and this fits with the other interpretations. Therefore, the 10 of Pentacles represents more than a house move; it symbolizes home ownership.
The Ten of Pentacles in a Love Reading
The 10 of Pentacles is a good card for love and relationships. In most readings, I would interpret the 10 of Pentacles to mean that your relationship will go the extra mile. There is a possibility that you will have a family with your partner, especially if the 10 of Pentacles appears in an outcome or future position of a Tarot spread.
If you’re wondering what your partner or potential partner’s feelings are the 10 of Pentacles means that they have good intentions. The 10 of Pentacles symbolizes the fact that they are wanting to settle down with a family so if this is what you’re wanting the 10 of Pentacles is an excellent omen.
The Ten of Pentacles in a Business Reading
Like in a love and relationship Tarot reading, the 10 of Pentacles is amazing for business related readings. The 10 of Pentacles predicts that you’re onto something big; your idea has the potential to impact millions. Your message has the potential to be remembered by generations to come.
Not only is your message going to be powerful but your work will be financially rewarding. The monetary rewards from your work will greatly benefit yourself and your family. You will even be in the position to help relatives who are less fortunate. The only thing which is left for you to do is the graft but, trust me, it will be worth it.
