The World Tarot Meaning - Love, Future, Feelings, and More!

The meaning of The World Tarot card is ‘completion.’ The World is an all-around good Tarot card with a positive meaning. It’s also good for love or relationship-specific Tarot readings. The World predicts happy outcomes and a happy future. You’re at the end of one life stage, ready to start another.

Often, The World comes up when a significant life’s ambition you’ve had has been acted upon. Your thoughts have become action and have taken shape in reality. Your dream has been achieved and you can now start to make new ones. The World often makes an appearance after marriage or after a business goes from start-up to sustainable. You must now get comfortable in your new life and begin making new goals.

In a way, this card is (in my opinion) one of the best Tarot cards for rewards and success. Your achievements are stable and set in stone, without any surprises for the foreseeable future. You can now relax and breathe a little.

Some interpretations link this card with travel around the world. It’s possible that you will start a new life in another country. Alternatively, you could travel around the globe to sample what the Earth has to offer. Anything foreign and exotic can be found in this Tarot card.

In any event, The World is rarely ever cynical. If this card does appear in a negative context, it serves as reassurance that all will be worth it in the end. While the path to the end is complicated and often torturous, you can be reassured that one day, you will stand on top of the world. You can end one journey and start a new one.

Finally, while this may sound strange, when I see The World in spiritual Tarot readings, I take it to symbolize crystals, astrology, and other wonders of the Earth that diviners often feel drawn to. When your reading is about mundane matters, I would read The World as a sign that divination tools are going to help you navigate any situation you wind up in.

The World Love Tarot Meaning

Love & Relationships

Be happy! The World is always a sound card to receive if you’re performing a love Tarot reading, especially if it pops up in an outcome position. The World means that your partner (or future partner) will provide you with all that you desire, such as more commitment. Their feelings are loving and their motives are pure.

The World Love Tarot Meaning

Completion is a common meaning for The World when it appears in your love Tarot reading.

When a love Tarot reading is overly negative but you get The World card, this can mean that your current partner is not able to provide you everything you want. However, The World reassures you that other people are willing to give you everything. One day, you will settle down with your Prince or Princess Charming and get your fairytale ending, especially if other Tarot cards that represent this figure (Knight of Cups) and fairytales (Ten of Cups) land in your reading.

The World Feelings Tarot Meaning

Are you curious about what your partner or potential partner is feeling for you? The World can have a positive or negative meaning for these types of readings. At best, The World can mean that they wish to give you the world, figuratively speaking. However, if your lover feels the itch to travel the world, then marriage and commitment will not be for them.

The only type of relationship Tarot reading I would not read well is if you want an ex to come back. The World is the card of the future, not the past. Reconciliation does not seem likely; you and your ex are worlds apart for the foreseeable future.

The World Future Tarot Meaning

The future of this matter looks very promising. I read The World as the best Tarot card you can receive to appear in the outcome position of a Tarot card reading. In the future, you will find your meaning and purpose in life. You will end one difficult journey and begin a new life.

The World Business & Career Tarot Meaning

Like in a love reading, The World is also favorable for business and career Tarot readings. If you get this card for a business or work-related question, it can predict a brilliant new beginning for your company and career.

Because The World is a travel card, it can mean that you will have the opportunity for international trade. You will be well known overseas for the work you do. The World sees trips around the world that are linked to your business.

If you’re attached to your current surroundings, The World is not desirable. The World in a career reading can be a warning that your commute could end up being much further than you currently realize! However, usually, this card is not so bad even in this context.

Yes or No with The World Tarot Meaning

General – For most types of Tarot readings, The World is an absolute yes!

Do they like me? – Yes! This person likes you and they wish to give you the world. However, if you suspect that your lover is dragging their feet in regard to commitment, The World means that, although they like you, this relationship is not for them.

Am I pregnant? – No, I would not read The World as a pregnancy card.

Is this relationship going to last? – Yes! This relationship is going to last for the foreseeable future unless your lover does not want to commit. If your lover does not wish to commit to marriage or children, The World is a sign that they don’t want to be tied down. However, if they’re not scared of commitment, The World is a good indicator of marriage.

Does the future of this look promising? – Yes, the future of this matter is as good as you could ask for and is in your best interests.

Am I going to reconcile with my ex? – No, I do not interpret The World as a card that predicts your ex-lover returning. However, The World is a sign that you will both move on.

The World as a Negative, Weakness or Blockage

When it appears in a Tarot card reading as a negative, weakness, or obstacle, The World can predict a new beginning that’s not welcome, even if it’s right for you. If this is the case, The World means that while getting to this point may be difficult, everything afterward will make the hardship seem worth it.

In some cases, The World will pop up as a blockage when you have a desire to explore the world that you don’t act upon. If this is the case, you must scratch that itch, because missing out on these dreams will make you live a life filled with regret.

The World as a Positive, Strength or Advantage

When it appears in a Tarot card reading as a positive, advantage, or strength, The World can mean that you’re about to get a new start for the better. If the situation you’re currently in seems dire, don’t worry – the universe has a plan for you.

The World can also appear as an advantage when you know a lot about different cultures, people, and places. Being worldly and able to see things from another perspective will serve you well in this matter.

Closing Thoughts on The World Tarot Card Meaning

The World predicts the end of one journey and the start of another. When it appears in your Tarot reading, ask yourself, “What new adventures await me?”

What adventures await you? Do you feel that The World’s Tarot meaning corresponds to your life?
