If you have received this card and your question is related to money, work, or business, then you’re in trouble; in these cases, I would read this card as a bad omen predicting loss.
For monetary readings, there will be a great loss of money, sometimes to the point of bankruptcy. If you’re not ‘money savvy,’ you should speak to someone who can help you with your affairs; otherwise, all will be lost.
In health Tarot readings, the Five of Pentacles is also not good. As indicated by the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot design, this card can predict both injuries and illnesses. Take care of your health, and look after yourself.
However, for love related Tarot readings, the Five of Pentacles has had a positive meaning. Pre-Rider Waite Smith, the Five of Coins (Pentacles), was said by card readers to be the card of affection and good relationships. Therefore, in some cases, the Five of Pentacles can be read positively for love unless you’re arguing with your lover over your financial predicament.

As previously stated, historically, the Five of Pentacles was positive in love Tarot readings. In a lot of cases, I feel that the card can predict a couple who are working together to make their relationship work despite having a lot of other issues with money and work.
However, if you and your love have had financial problems or have been arguing about money, the Five of Pentacles in your relationship reading can predict that this stress and tension are interfering in your partnership.

Are you wondering what someone is feeling about you? The Five of Pentacles means that this person is more focused on their work, education, or financial situation than they are on you. I advise that you give them the space that they need.
Five of Pentacles Future Tarot Meaning
When it appears in a future or outcome position, the Five of Pentacles can predict financial issues in the future. Be mindful of how much money you are spending. Your Tarot cards want you to save not splurge.
Sometimes, the Five of Pentacles can serve as a warning that someone close to you will be pouring all of their time, effort, and money into everything other than you. If they are already doing this, they will continue to do so in the future.

If you are planning to execute a project, the Five of Pentacles is a red flag. You should not go there. Pick another course of action because the road you are on leads to nothing but misery.

General - The Five of Pentacles is usually a no.
Do they like me? - They may like you, but they are focused on the failure of their career, money, or education just now.
Am I pregnant? - If pregnancy would place a huge financial burden on you, then there is a possibility you are pregnant. If not, then no, you are no pregnant.
Is this relationship going to last? - Your relationship may last, but if you’re not your lover’s priority now, things will not improve in the future. Marriage does not seem likely.
Does the future of this look promising? - No, the future does not look promising.
Am I going to reconcile with my ex? - The Five of Pentacles is not a card that is often associated with reconciliations or lovers coming back.
Five of Pentacles as a Negative, Weakness or Obstacle
When the Five of Pentacles appears in a negative, weakness or obstacle Tarot spread position, this can mean that you will experience poverty, financial devastation, and even bankruptcy. Be careful as you may lose your job or home.
In some causes the Five of Pentacles can predict illness, disease, and injury. You should be careful and be sure to remain mindful of what you are doing. Double-check that you have health cover!
As indicated previously, sometimes the Five of Pentacles can mean that people who you love are not thinking about you because they are dealing with their own financial hardship.
