King and Queen of Wands Together

What does it mean when you receive the Queen and King of Wands together in a Tarot reading? Curious to know what it means when you have the Queen and King of Wands Court cards in combination in your general, love, or career Tarot card reading? Well, you can read this interpretation below!

Previously I have written about what it means when you receive lots of Court cards in a Tarot reading and what Court cards can represent.

I love reading and teaching Court cards because a lot of readers find them difficult to interpret. However, Court cards are magical and reflect the actions, feelings, and emotions of people in your life

There is something extra special about receiving the King and Queens of a suit together in combination. These occurrences have their own meanings, and today I am going to discuss what it means to get the Queen and King of Wands in combination in a Tarot reading.

An Overview of the Wands Court Cards

I  mainly interpret the Wands suit in Tarot to symbolize energy, friends, creativity, challenges, and hobbies. I know a lot of Tarot readers who read them to represent work but I save this luxury for the Pentacles suit.

The Wands Courts represent people in your life who are of high energy. They are passionate, excitable, and filled with plans. They will have lots of interests and may even be focused on keeping fit; if not, they have a competitive nature (but in a fun way) and like to push themselves and others.

With the above general ‘Wands’ meaning in mind, I am going to interpret the King and Queen Wands together in combination.

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I generally interpret the meanings of the King and Queen differently depending on the type of reading. For example, in relationship readings, I always interpret the Kings and Queens to represent lovers but wouldn’t always do this with career readings. Keep that in mind when I give my interpretations:

King and Queen of Wands in a General Reading

The King of Wands and Queen of Wands represent both the masculine and feminine aspects of the Wands suit, so when they appear in a reading together they are in perfect balance.

If I was performing a general reading for a female, I would read all Queens to represent her and different aspects of her personality. Any Kings which appear in the reading would symbolize men who she is (usually, but not always) romantically involved with in some way (emotionally, physically or spiritually), and Knights and Pages would symbolize other people.

As the Queens represent an aspect of your personality (if you are female) the Queen of Wands is an area in your life where you are fun-loving, carefree, energetic, interesting, and exciting. The King of Wands is a man in your life (or coming into your life) who shares these traits with you.

From experience, I know that if the King and Queen of Wands appear in your general reading (a reading without a question) in combination with the King of Wands, this usually means that there is an individual (the King) who has an interest in you romantically.

It is typical for the King of Wands to represent a friend who has feelings for you, even if just slightly. The King of Wands may or may not be someone you are already in a partnership with, but it is certainly someone whom you know personally or are about to meet.

The King of Wands matches your energy. He is fun, humorous and doesn’t take life or himself too seriously. If this doesn’t sound like your current partner, the King of Wands serves as a warning that you and he are not well-suited. In the future, you will be more attracted to the King of Wands than you are your current partner.

King and Queen of Wands in a Love Reading

In a love reading, the King and Queen of Wands together symbolize you and your partner. It is a very fortunate sign to receive the King and Queen of a suit together in a relationship reading because it means you are both on the same level and the Wands suit is no exception.

However, I should point out that if you want your partnership to go the extra mile you need to keep the relationship exciting. Go for walks together, complement each other, and stay physically fit. A little playful teasing every now and then also won’t hurt! Don’t take life too seriously.

King and Queen of Wands in a Career Reading

If the King and Queen of Wands appear in a job or business reading, I will read this to represent two people in an authoritative position who will help you achieve goals that will have an indirect impact on your career. For example, fitness coaches or stop smoking experts who lead you to a healthier lifestyle which results in you becoming more productive.

Closing Thoughts on King and Queen of Wands Together

So, that is how I would interpret the King of Wands and Queen of Wands together in combination in a Tarot general, love, and career or business reading. How you interpret Court cards in combination may be different for you.
