The Chariot Tarot Meaning - Love, Future, Feelings, and More

The meaning of The Chariot Tarot card is ‘triumph.’ With this card, triumph over your biggest love rival is predicted. In fact, triumph over all competitors in love and relationships is a possibility. The Chariot is one of those Tarot cards that has the main meaning of success, so anything you touch should turn to gold.

You will be at the top of your game without much worthy competition. Glory will rain down on you, and you will bask in your newfound status. Success, high honor, and victory are guaranteed, because this card is a sign that you have the drive to make it happen.

I read The Chariot as someone who has achieved everything they want by using other people. It could be through their connections, friendships, etc., but one way or another, The Chariot has had a lot of assistance with their goals. You’re the guy whose friends set him up with girls. You’re the person who runs the factory and pays the workers minimum wage. You’re the girl whose friends got her a guest spot on that big YouTube channel. For either good or evil, you have used (or will use) people to your advantage.

Although you can enjoy your accomplishments for a short time, ensure that you don’t live in a state of ‘high and mighty’ for too long. Nobody likes a show-off, and you’ll lose some of your prestige if you wave your achievements in the faces of others. Modesty will win you a loyal fan base.

In general, The Chariot is a card of movement, be it literally or toward a goal. In some cases, The Chariot is the Major Arcana version of the Six of Swords in that way, but more positive. I often see The Chariot with people who have just passed their driving test.

If you are in charge of other people, you should be careful with how you use your authority. Historically, The Chariot was the card of a tyrant. War may be declared in the future to overthrow you, so again, you should be careful of how you treat people at the bottom. One day, they may seek revenge. Alternatively, you may be the one to launch a revolution against a shady king.

The Chariot Love Tarot Meaning

Love & Relationships

The Chariot is a funny card to get for a love Tarot reading, as it’s not one associated with partnerships and relationships. In general, it’s a card of standing above others and feeling self-assured. Therefore, the card can serve as a reminder that you do not need your partner for happiness – and you certainly don’t have to rely on them to get the things you want from life. You can survive without a man/woman.

With the above being said, I would argue that The Chariot is okay for love readings for established relationships. The Chariot is especially good if one or both of you are social climbers. In a positive love reading, it can show you and your partner progressing up the social ladder.

There’s a possibility that your partner will do exceptionally well in their career. You will reap the benefits of their success. Therefore, if you’re the type of person who wants someone to look after you while you live a life of luxury, The Chariot is a welcome omen.

The Chariot Feelings Tarot Meaning

The Chariot Love Tarot Meaning

If you’re wondering how someone is feeling toward you, The Chariot isn’t very favorable. It’s not that it’s a particularly bad card - it’s just that The Chariot has a very personal energy and doesn’t represent people who think about others. I would say that this person isn’t really focused on the future of the relationship.

The Chariot Future Tarot Meaning

You will experience success in the future and be the object of envy. Sometimes, The Chariot will pop up in the future to indicate an achievement such as passing your driving test or getting a promotion at work. Life improvements are on the horizon.

The Chariot Business & Career Tarot Meaning

As you might expect, The Chariot is an amazing card for career-related readings, especially if you’re in business. It predicts willpower, drive, recognition, success, authority, and all the great things you would associate with that. However, the card also has some negative associations for career readings.

When you’re on top, there’s envy. The Chariot warns that you should be good to your followers and fans, because if you neglect them, it could breed resentment. While you’re on the top of your game enjoying your achievements, you may forget to notice the people who helped you get there. Eventually, they could sneak in and pull the rug from under you, so try not to get too comfortable.

Yes or No with The Chariot Tarot Meaning

General – The Chariot is usually a yes for anything involving drive, determination, and willpower.

Do they like me? – I would not say that The Chariot symbolizes a no. However, I also feel that The Chariot can mean that this person is so wrapped up in themselves that they’re not deeply interested in other people.

Am I pregnant? – No, I would not read The Chariot as a typical pregnancy card.

Is this relationship going to last? – There’s no telling whether this relationship is going to last, but you will find out soon enough!

Does the future of this look promising? – Yes, the future of this matter looks promising, especially if you’re reading about success, goals, or career.

Am I going to reconcile with my ex? – When it comes to reconciliations, I have found that The Chariot is positive, but for different reasons that one might expect. The Chariot is a sign that the universe is going to introduce someone better into your life. Your new lover is making their way toward you – be ready.

The Chariot as a Negative, Weakness or Obstacle

The Chariot can symbolize someone who likes to be above others. You like the limelight. Once you’ve climbed to the top of the pedestal, you intend to stay there. There is a force within you that needs to be the winner, and you’ll do what it takes to remain one.

An obsession with success may be buried deep inside you, only to surface once you’ve gotten your first taste of success. This may come as a surprise, but it’s there. It appears as a negative because your drive will lead to your eventual downfall. You will come on too strong too soon, and your desperation will cause others to turn against you.

The Chariot as a Positive, Strength or Advantage

When it appears in a positive, strength, or advantage position of a Tarot spread, The Chariot means that your chances of success are higher than average.

The Chariot in a positive Tarot spread position can also mean that you’re willing to do whatever it takes (even step over other people) to get the things you want.

Closing Thoughts on The Chariot Tarot Card Meaning

If you desire success, The Chariot is one of the best Tarot cards you can receive. However, if you do not want to use other people in the process of reaching for what you want, The Chariot is not that great.

How do you read The Chariot? Is it a card of gold, triumph and success? Or, do you interpret its meaning differently?
