The Sun Tarot Meaning - Love, Future, Feelings, and More!

The meaning of The Sun Tarot card is ‘happiness.’ If The Sun falls in your Tarot reading, good things are going to happen in your love life, relationships, and life in general. You can look forward to the future with The Sun. The Sun card predicts good outcomes and everything going to plan. For the time The Sun represents, you can expect a content future.

The Sun Tarot Card

The Sun is often a family card, so it’s a positive omen if this is something you aspire to. Love, marriage, children, pets, and babies are all within The Sun. Fertility will be at an all-time high, so if this is something you’re worried about, The Sun tells you that all is not as bad as it seems.

Family holidays also look possible with The Sun. If you’ve been planning a trip to a warmer climate, this may appear as The Sun in your Tarot spread. Sometimes, The Sun is just there to give you advice that you’re in desperate need of a break. A holiday will do wonders for your general wellbeing!

The Sun often appears in Tarot readings when you’ve been working extremely hard for minimal reward. This will soon come to an end if this card is in your future. Hard work and sacrifices will pay off, as The Sun often predicts recognition for effort.

Similarly, The Sun warns that if you don’t do the work, you won’t reap the rewards. The Sun and all the good things it promises should nudge you in the right direction, but you do have to apply a little effort!

Finally, when it appears in combination with other travel-related Tarot cards (The World, The Chariot, and the Six of Swords), I would interpret The Sun as a holiday or an indication that you will spend a lot of time in a warm, sunny place. If you’re reading your Tarot cards with the hope that you will emigrate or migrate, The Sun’s meaning will be a welcome one.

The Sun Love Tarot Meaning

Love & Relationships

The Sun in a love Tarot reading doesn’t need much explanation, as it’s pretty straightforward. This card predicts a positive outcome for your relationship. For the foreseeable future, your relationship is going to be a stable one.

The Sun in relationship readings can even indicate marriage and children, especially if your relationship is a serious one. If you feel as though you’ve waited a very long time for these things, The Sun is a sign that you won’t have to wait much longer.

Less likely but still possible, The Sun can predict future visits to a hot country with your lover. These trips could be holidays or something more permanent like emigration. If you’re single, The Sun can mean that your future partner will come from an exotic location.

The Sun Feelings Tarot Meaning

If you’re questioning the intentions of your partner, don’t worry – their feelings toward you are filled with love and care. They are committed to you, so try not to push them away!

The Sun Love Tarot Meaning

Happiness is a common meaning for The Sun when it appears in your love Tarot reading.

The Sun is also a rather good card for reconciliations unless your lover has moved away to a different country. Are you recently separated? Then they will return to you. In any event, know that you’re going to get the best possible outcome for you. You will find future happiness.

The Sun Future Tarot Meaning

The Sun is one of the easiest Tarot cards to interpret when it appears in the future of a Tarot reading, as its meaning remains unchanged regardless of the subject you’re reading. As stated in the main description of The Sun, this card will appear in the future of any Tarot reading (love, relationships, career) to predict a positive outcome for the matter you’re reading about.

The Sun Business & Career Tarot Meaning

The Sun is one of the best cards you can get for a business reading; it's also one of the most straightforward. It predicts that this will be your time to shine. Your hard work will eventually pay off, allowing you to bask in your success. You should remain optimistic.

An alternative interpretation is that The Sun predicts success in a country that’s not your own. Perhaps you'll sell your products online? Maybe there's a market for what you're providing in a different country, and The Sun represents you discovering a golden opportunity for overseas expansion. You may even be offered career opportunities abroad connected to your current work.

Yes or No with The Sun Tarot Meaning

General – The Sun is one of those few Tarot cards that I would always interpret as a yes for all types of Tarot readings.

Do they like me? – Yes, this person likes you and will continue to do so as long as you remain funny, warm, and optimistic.

Am I pregnant? – Although Tarot is no substitute for medical advice, I would read The Sun as a card that predicts pregnancy, especially if you’re already trying for a baby.

Is this relationship going to last? – Yes, this relationship will survive into the foreseeable future.

Does the future of this look promising? – Yes! The future of this matter looks promising.

Am I going to reconcile with my ex? – Yes, your ex-lover is going to return.

The Sun as a Negative, Weakness or Obstacle

There will be times when The Sun appears in a negative spread or position in a Tarot reading. The Sun is bright and can blind us to the truth. You could be so wrapped up in the good parts of a situation, project, or relationship that you fail to see anything that’s not quite right.

Another possibility is that you’re never happy with anything you achieve. You may also be ungrateful for the things that other people have done for you. If you’re unable to see the blessings in your life, you’ll never be able to enjoy them.

The Sun as a Positive, Strength or Advantage

It’s rather easy to see how The Sun can be an excellent card to receive, so interpreting it in a positive, strength, or advantage Tarot spread position is not so difficult.

The Sun will appear as positive when your ultimate satisfaction is likely. You are destined for happiness, so no matter how dire your situation looks currently, you always have this to look forward to in the future.

The Sun can also pop up as a strength or advantage when you’re not the type of person who gives up at the smallest hurdle. You’re likely to keep pushing on and being positive.

I also see The Sun in many readings when you’re questioning the feelings or sincerity of a lover. The Sun will appear as a positive because it’s reassuring you that the other person truly is happy being in a relationship with you. In their minds, there are more good times than bad.
